All About My Tattoos: Part 1

Being heavily tattooed, I get asked about my tattoos alot. Add in that I am a woman and a hot wife MILF and you can imagine the kinds of questions and comments I get.

My first tattoo was the Deftones White Pony silhouette on my upper back. My second was the Soulfly symbol in the classic tramp stamp position (if you haven’t guessed, I am a bit of a music lover!). Both of these were done by local bikie tattooists. Because of the stuff up in colours of my Soulfly tattoo (and a really bad job which left me scarred), I decided to switch it up and find another tattooist.

After this, I had two tattoos done by Fran Dragonlady out of The Tattoo Gallery in Adelaide and her own shop in Mount Barker. She did a portrait of my dog Quila and a twist on the traditional Phoenix that I found in a painting online.

It was then about 5 years till my next tattoo and I found another female artist to do my left upper sleeve which is My Little Ponies Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Kimono, taken from the page of a colouring book. This was done by Nicole Draegar, who now tattoos out of Melbourne, Victoria.

Due to Nicole moving to Melbourne and me being stuck in little old Adelaide, I went on a search to find another artist and came upon the amazing Simone-Clare Hede. At the time she was tattooing out of Progression Tattoo in Unley. She put together a fabulous design for my upper right arm based on Disney. This part of my arm includes Sleeping Beauty (wearing a blue gown because that was the main one she wore), Alice in Wonderland, Snow White eating the infamous apple and the evil Queen from the same movie, holding out the box in which she demanded the Huntsman bring back Snow White’s heart. Yes. I like the macabre.

Simone also did my lower forearm, bringing my whole arm together in a full sleeve. My lower forearm has a totem pole of a deer, fox and raven. For the reason behind this tattoo, watch Lars von Trier’s “Antichrist.” I promise it will be worth it. When I was trying to work out what to put on my inner right forearm, I had a dream of Simone tattooing a big owl on there, so that is what I ended up doing. This is an original piece by her, and the combination of the owl on a skull is about intuition, wisdom and the thin veil between this world and the next.

I had my lower left forearm and inner left bicep finished with the crazy good art of Amy Piscitelli from House of the Black Flamingo. It is actually her take on the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse and the Lamb of God. The kids who think they are just rare My Little Ponies are adorable.

Currently, I am in the middle of a chest piece, again by Simone who now tattoos out of her own studio House of Daggers in Adelaide. She was the obvious choice due to the amazing work she has done of all types of birds.
