Well, that is a different story! What makes a great solo masturbation clip? Here is what I consider to be the top 5 items that a content creator must nail…
LIGHTING
This one seems like a no brainer but it is something a lot of people forget. The action needs to be seen, and that requires a significant amount of lighting being blasted at the subject. Overhead lights and lamps are not going to cut it here. In my earlier clips, I used a lot less lighting, and you can definitely see the difference in quality once I started using specialist photographic lighting. In my clip “Cum On You” you can see the difference good lighting makes. All the details are crisp and clear, ready for the enjoyment of the viewer.

One excellent piece of feedback I received from my customers was about including my face in my clips. I have made clips in the past that just focused on the bits that were having the most fun. But my customers said to me “we want to see your face!” And it makes sense. So much of what we are feeling comes across in our facial expressions, and you can’t really see if someone is having a good time if you are looking just at their vagina. The hottest clips I have watched are where I can see the person’s face and I can see that they are enjoying themselves. Depending on the type of solo masturbation clip, you need to be prepared to play with the sound. I like to add my own music to my clips, making sure it doesn’t overwhelm the sounds coming from me at the crucial moments. Most of the time I will have music over the first half of the clip and then reduce the music down over the end. But for some clips, that is way too distracting, and just making sure you capture the natural sounds of the orgasm is a priority. Most video recording devices have microphones that are good enough to capture sound, but just be mindful of the soundtrack as you are recording. There is nothing worse than watching a clip and being distracted by some weird noise that has nothing to do with the action. One of my clips that I think turned out really well soundwise is “Wet and Wild”, an outdoor masturbation clip where I get very wet, very fast.
length
I am of the personal opinion that solo masturbation clips do not need to be epic sagas of ridiculous length. The main reason I think this is because of the attention span of the average horny person who is watching. I know that clips that are any longer than 5 minutes lose me and that 3 minutes of intensity is the perfect length to keep me interested in the action. You always have 30 seconds or a minute to play with at either end, but if you can nail 3 minutes of red hot action in the middle, in my opinion, you are onto a winner. When I first started making clips, I found it really hard to get them any longer than 60 seconds! (Yes, I am able to bring myself to orgasm ridiculously fast!) But as I learnt to slow things down and stretch it out, I realised that my customers didn’t really want super long clips, because like me, they came hard and fast. The viewers of solo masturbation clips fundamentally want to see something real. The other areas I have talked about, like sound and expression, contribute to a genuine experience. But the fact is that if you don’t like making these types of clips, and you are not comfortable performing like this on camera, it will come across to the viewer and it is a surefire way to kill the experience for them. If you don’t like making them, and therefore cannot bring that authenticity to it, then my advice is… don’t. To be successful in adult content creation, you don’t need to nail this category. There are many other people who are extremely successful and have not got there by fucking themselves on camera. And that is totally fine… because like I say all the time, the community of creators and fans is so diverse that there will always be someone who is into what YOU like to do, and that passion is contagious.
